This is such an important goal and we started the week with a visit from Corey "Basketball" Jones. The Week of Respect was developed in New Jersey to help districts maintain their focus on positive school climate and providing students with a safe, supportive environment devoid of harassment, intimidation and bullying (HIB) while encouraging academic success and increased social and emotional competence. This was followed quickly by the annual Week of Respect celebration at LMS. Nothing is more challenging than getting up in front of your middle school peers and making a speech but our 2018 - 2019 officers rose to the occasion! Congratulations to Morgan Dawson, President Tori Spinella, Vice President Samantha Candalla, Secretary and Danny Lawler, Treasurer. It was amazing to see so many of our students run for the various offices and participate as a very respectful audience during speeches. September was kicked off with our annual Student Council elections. It is hard to believe that it is the end of November and the 2018 - 19 school year is just shy of a third complete! Our students and teachers have been very busy - involved in all kinds of interesting events both in and out of the classroom!
